Hair Carnival: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness

For this month’s Hair Carnival we are celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Breast cancer is a disease where cancerous cells form in the tissue of the breast.  While breast cancer is hereditary, there are also external factors that will that can contribute to breast cancer.  It is said that  1 in 8 women in the US are diagnosed with breast cancer, while only 1 in 33 women die from breast cancer.  Click on the link for more Breast Cancer FAQs.

Now back to the hair!  I decided to try a unique style on Lea’s hair.  Lea is my little guinea pig since she stays home with me and we have more time together.  Her hair is primarily in mini braids  BUT for a twist I added two “Breast Cancer Ribbons”,  I also included some pink beads. on the ribbon and on the front portion of her mini braids.Hair Carnival: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Hair Carnival: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Hair Carnival: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Hair Carnival: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Hair Carnival: Celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness
