Product Review: Trader Joe's Refresh Body Wash

This past weekend I went our to not so local Trader Joe's to pick up my favorite conditioner (Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner).  You can look at my past review here.  Anyways, I traveled a good 40 minutes and 25 miles to find that they were out!!! I guess I should have called first, right?  Well I was determined to leave with something in my bag.  I found this Body Wash called Refresh.  I decided to purchase this item because lately my husband has been having eczema like skin issues.  His job is so intense and sweats so much.  We have been using the basic body wash and it was not helping his condition.  So I figured that this would help him out!
Product Review:
Price: $2.49 (very reasonable)
Claims: "Developed to nourish and moisturize, leaving skin tingly clean and silky."

Ingredients:  Botanical Water, Extracts of Chamomile, Ginseng, Lemon grass, Sage, Sodium C14-C16 Olefin Sulfonate, Lauramide DEA, Cocamidopropyl, Betaine, Isoceth-20, Phenoxyethanol, Jojoba Oil, Glycerin, Essential Oil of Sweet Orange, Vitamin B5, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Essential Oil of Grapefruit and Tangerine, Methylparaben, Propylparben, Citric Acid, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride
Our Thoughts:
We absolutely love this product!  Everyone...even the girls love the smell (I just let them use it today).  My husband reported that he liked it; he says he skin cleared up and that he didn't need to use lotion any more(LOL).  He says we need to buy more "stuff" like this.  I want been trying to get him to switch certain product for quite some time now. Kae said that her skin felt so soft after bathing with the Body Wash.  I personally thought the same about the product.  The smell is amazing! and my skin felt amazing.  I suffer from body acne and I haven't had as many flare ups.  And it is my hope in time the Vitamin E will help clear up some of my past scarring.  According to my hubby, my back is already clearing up :-)  We will definitely be more of this product in bulk!

I told you all at the beginning of ther summer that I cut my hair!  Yes, I am back to TWA status.  It definitely feels better than the first time!  My confidence was 10 times greater the second time around.  So I want to show you all some pictures of where I came from to where I am now!

This is my last know Afro from Jan.'13
Thats my Afro getting cut away :-)

Here are the results of my hair cut

But the cute was too high maintainence and I went back to my TWA.

New Hair

Slap my hand, I have been a bad blogger!  It has been quite a while since I have posted on here!  For all my faithful followers and lovers of Baby Bella Hair, I do apologize.

So first a quick update.

*We are finally wrapping up a school year!! Kae is completing Kindergarten and Lea is completing PreK.  It is so hard to hand the fact that next year both my girls will be in elementary school together (K and 1st graders).  While the change is exciting, it is also a little sad because my girls are growing too fast.

*The girls' hair is steadily growing!  I have adopted a most heat free protective styling only regimen.  Our regimen include daily moisture and sealing of their hair!  I have seen pretty good result.  "Less is more" is a true statement.

*I do post pictures (not all hair related), but mostly on Facebook and Instagram!  Find me on instagram @miss_trae23.....Summer is coming so be sure to catch up on our adventures.

*Lastly, I cut my hair.  Not just a little, but a lot.  I started off with a tapered fro that I absolutely loved.  Then once it started to grow out I went to a mohawk.   Well, I quickly got tired of the mohawk and decided to go back to a TWA.  YES, yours truly is rocking a TWA yet again and I am absoulutely loving it!  It feels even better than the first time!!  There was some color damage so I am grateful that I am confident enough to start over using all the knowledge I learned the first time 'round.  ( I will post a quick picture on my next post.)

Keep it easy til next time.....Tracey

Length Check 2013

It has been nearly a year since I have done a length check on the girls and it has been about 11 months since I have done an official length check on myself.  You can check out their last length check here and mines here.  I must say that the numbers are not that impressive.  But I can say that there hair is very healthy.  Also, since participating in Kandy Land Kurls Protective Style Challenge I have learned how long a protective style really can go.  I will post pictures of some of my most notable styles I created during this challenge.

Anyways, here are the numbers to our most recent length checks.

Leah's Number
Back: 8"
Left Side: 9"
Middle: 10"
Right Side: 9.5"
Front: 10"

Kae's Number
Back: 7.5"
Left Side: 8.5"
Middle: 8.5"
Right Side: 8"
Front: 8"

My numbers
Back: 11"
Left Side: 11.5"
Middle: 14.5"
Right Side: 12:
Front: 12"

I am definitely working on ways to really increase the girls length.  We have began to incorporate satin pillow since they just CAN NOT seem to keep a scarf on.  I have also been trying to stick with more protective styles for an extended periods of time.  So hopefully next year we will have more significant numbers.

Let's Get an Update

So, I totally know that it has been forever since I posted.  But what can I say life gets in the way sometimes!  However, we have just moved into our new place and we are finally settled. I have aimed to commit myself to making two post a week.  When I am not blogging you can keep up with me on Instagram and Facebook.  Be warned most of my post are not hair related but I have plenty that are!
I really hope that you all will continue to follow me as there will be more to come.  I will be updating out length checks and out weekly and monthly hair routine.
